Final approach and Landing

Can you tell me if you did heavy cropping on the 2nd one or did you use a tc? If not, what was aproxamately your distance. Like both pics.....I many times know my 210 mm is too short, I am afraid 300 mm is too short too, but when I see your pictures......I start wondering I should sell my 70-210/4 to get this 70-300VR...

Thanks Hide. I did a slight levels adjustment in PSE-5
These are excellent shots. I guess that you observed the bird well
enough to know where he would land on and you prepared for this shot.
All your preparation paid off here. I don't know how far you were
from the bird, but the #2 is very sharp.
Did you apply any PP?

If it looks good shoot it.

What is your technique for getting so close. Do you use a blind? These are just beautiful shots as usual. Dave

I didn't realize that the Ospreys had such huge talons. That second picture is just fantastic. Dave

Its all about those domesticated Florida birds. Very nice shots.. Man theres no way I could get that close to an osprey out here in Mississippi. They spot me a mile away. I have to camo up and use a blind and at that Im still several hundred feet off. Is this a hot spot off the road or do you trek a long way to get to a secluded spot and wait hours for him to show up? Again, great shots.
