Yes, in that line of camera, there are a dozen contenders.
Perhaps Really the winner there might be the NEW Pnetax K10D!!!
with Dust seals and everything...

(im really not sure how many other 'almost dslr' 's or DSLRs have this protection) but the K10D does sound interesting...

Trouble most of these usually Don't stand up the the Usual Nikon or Canon Equiv.... in the K10D case that would be the 30d or nikon D200..

Pentax is nice, but... perhaps not THAT nice!.
