Fellow Minoltians: Computer help needed!

Also Bill, you FORGOT the apostrophe in the contraction "its". You should have put the apostrophe after the t in your sentence. You used the contraction twice in the same sentence. Oh, the usage of the word good was chosen as an adverb describing how the computer was working, a verb. Thus, working good tells you how it worked, not how the computer is. The use of the word well would be an adjective that would describe the computer, a noun.

Thank you again,

Yes, its the best solution sometimes..
Forces, you to find the latest drivers for everything.
Essential is a virus scanner, especially these days.
At the beginning they were bad, and then everything was ok
if you weren't naive, and now they come and penetrate your network.
I should re-install my xp in just a few days..
Got erratic behavior many times with Windows 95 and 98 SE. Called
it DLL- rot and reinstalled Windows just over the existing one. Had
to update then the last patches and things again from Microsoft and
things went smoothly again. There was even a power user who wrote
that he did Win 98SE reinstallations with all his programs from
scratch on a regular time base of 1/2 a year as preventive measure.
Windows XP is so much better: The only big failure within 2 years
could be rescued by an build feature: Going back and restore to a
former situation.
Good luck.
