I rarely use face and subject detect (aircraft) with an OM1 mk1. What should I see in the viewfinder when I half press for focus. Often I see the white box around the face, plane but no green AF point. Is the camera focusing on the face, plane or just finding it. With aircraft detect, the white box is on the plane but then green AF? points are dancing around on and off the plane, which is annoying. Confused about what I should be seeing. CAF selected selected for planes and SAF or CAF selected for faces. Thanks.

In my use the white rectangle displays first then second, if [face]i mode set, a small second box inside the rectangle for the eye. The focus squares follow, after the white boxes.

IDK if my interpretation is technically correct, but Step 1, subject acquired and Step 2, focus achieved. In C-AF the green boxes should stay on a moving subject.

Without the green focus boxes I do not know how to verify which of multiple identified subjects is chosen. I also don't know how to switch that off.
