I have two XT-5s. One of them has just developed the following issue and I'm sure I must have changed a setting but can't figure out what.

The shutter speed and aperture only show in the viewfinder on half pressing the shutter button, whereas previously and on my other body they are there immediately. Performance is set to Boost, and the custom display settings have shutter speed, aperture and ISO all ticked.

Hopefully someone can help me out!

HDR would do it - possibly other settings

Thanks..... but it's definitely not set to HDR!

Thanks for the suggestion.

Just checked...... natural live view is off.

Save the settings to your phone from the good one and restore the same settings to the 'bad' one. Then see if it does the same.

Thank you - that's a great idea but I think that you can only restore settings to a body with the same serial number as the back up was taken from.

I actually think I've just found the solution... I must have somehow changed dynamic range to auto. Changed it back to 100 and all is good again. Can't quite work out why that makes a difference.

Good news you found your issue. However, what Alan suggest works fine. I routinely do that with my wife's two XH2's. It works fine as long as they are running the same F/W version.
