Why my EVF gets dark when shooting in the dark with
flash, I almost can´t see the subject but after the shot
the pic is great as the flash put light on the subject,
how to fix not to let the EVF be so dark?

You can set the brightness in the setup menu. That should help. Also, if there is low light, the image should be put in Black and White and then you should see it a little better.

It's normal for the view in the EVF to go to black/white under lowlight conditions. The D7 does that automatically (EVF goes from color to b/w under low light conditions). Reason for this is that it is using an "imaging enchancement" so you can see better through the EVF under the lowlight conditions. You may need to adjust the EVF brightness level if you can't see well enough. As far as I know, there is no way to override this feature.

Try pressing the shutter button halfway and then letting it up. This should bring up the light level in the EVF, then you can compose and take your photo.

Do you have a D7 or a D5? Apparently, the D5 doesn't commute to black and white in low light. --Mapril
