Z6III, NX Studio 1.10

Any any idea why VR field is empty in NX Studio even if vibration reduction is ON (set to Normal) ? Also, the hand symbol for VR is displayed on the left side of the back screen.

Is this a bug or it is filled only when a lens having VR is mounted ?

With my Z6 iii:

24-120: The VR field is blank. No lens VR. (it's not needed with the camera IBIS.)

100-400: The VR field says "ON (Normal)" The lens has VR (even though there's no lens VR/On/Sport/OFF switch.

Yes, it appears to be just Lens VR. I wonder why?

Probably because having it say something like "Off" would be wrong in some respects since some lenses don't have VR at all. So it doesn't say anything for those lenses, which is "true" (there is NO VR). I guess they could have put "N/A" for lenses without VR.

Ok, so this field is not referring to lens & body combo as a whole, but is used just in a lens context. Maybe they should rename it.

Looks like it. Tried with my extensive collection of lenses and the field is blank with every lens that does not have VR.

It’s a non issue at the end of the day.

A VR entry with "(camera)" would be useful for lenses with no VR built in.

Here's the section. An interesting choice of data included. A DSLR legacy?

Yes I think it's just for the lens
