Who shoots Panasonic knows that the embedded Jpeg in the raw file is not high resolution. I was hoping the situation had changed with the newer cameras however after checking it is still 1920x1440 which is higher than the EVF resolution but not really a lot to check for critical focus in certain situations

It looks like I will need to keep the full resolution Jpeg just to have a decent review unless I am missing something?

Yes - at least I do not know if/how that could be changed. I save now allways RAW & fine - please try it, too: For normal shots RAW development is not needed anymore, since the in-camera development is quite good (with NR and sharpening at standard "0" both in jpg and in video). Some viewers (Irfanview, VLC,...) can copy the good jpg and RAW in seperate folders with a press of key.
