These cameras, ie E410 and E510 aren't far off from their little brothers. People forget that the E300, E500, E330 are still marvelous cameras. I guess everyone gets caught up in the newest and latest.
Funny thing is, my brother had purchased an E510 last summer and I still to this day have had no interest in trying it out. Even to the point that I've purchased an E330 since with out the IS bells and whistles. For me I think the E330 is more camera then the E510. I guess it all depends on what your needs are. I love the E330 LV especially on a tripod. Nothing else matches LV A.
D80 started out in Toronto at around $1100 for the body. It now costs $879, a drop of about 20% over 18 months.
The E-510 cost $1000 with the kit lens 7 months ago. Today, it is $669.00, a 33% drop. The American stores are blowing it out at anywhere from $550 to $660 with both kit lenses. They haven't even announced a replacement.

'I cried because I had no E-3. Then I met a man with no E-510'
Yes, thanks for the scan. But for me, it did not help.
I live near you, insaneoctane, and called 6 Bestbuys in the area. Only 2 had the 510, but at $626. They were firm on the price. I walked in the Woodland Hills store and showed them a copy of your receipt - still, no deal. Clerk said they do not price-match other BestBuys.
Looks like it's a matter of finding the right BestBuy.
In any case, thanks for the heads-up, insaneocatne.
