E-3 Image quality -- a mild rant, and a challenge...

And it's very clearly not so. I don't understand why you would claim otherwise. There's no possible argument.

... portability and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who doesn't buy this.

The 4/3 sensor is only SLIGHTLY SMALLER than APS-C and this means that the lenses can also be made smaller but not much smaller. I can't see however how this will lead to MUCH SMALLER DSLRs and I must say that so far this hasn't materialised IMO.

I mean, can you actually claim that the E-400/410/420 body is much smaller than a D40? The D40 would actually look smaller without the grip. The fact that Olympus has produced a small body in the E-400 is not due to the sensor or mount size but because they managed to accommodate a new slim but efficient battery in the body in order to remove the grip.

Maybe micro 4/3 will change that but it's getting pretty boring to hear this argument again and again.
