Here is some pictures I took at the Tea Party, with Fl-40 with Lumiquest's Pro-Max, you will not see any shadow at all ;-), let me know what you think.

Nicely done, Johnbo.

Most noticable is the absense of red-eye - at what distance were the shots taken? Also, regarding Pro-max was the E-10 on full auto setings?

Cheers

It was in the manual mode, 1/125s f/7.1 at 17.0mm and you see no evidence of the lightsource in the glasses.

Nice shots!

I see you were in manual mode. Are you talking camera and flash or just the flash?

The Lumiquest's Pro-Max is doing a great job. I'm interested in learning more about the set-up your using. I've used my FL-40 with mixed results.

The thing I find most is when the camera and flash are set TTl it almost always over expose shots. I've started using the flash defusser that came with it and it helps alot. I'm planning on getting the Lumiquest.

If you'd like feel free to e-mail me.

Yes, camera was in the M mode, and flash was in the auto mode, but if I shoot from the distance I changed camera setting to the P mode. I hope this help :)

I recenty shot a family party with the fl40. I have the lumiquest pocket bounce, but with standard hieght white ceilings, I chose to bounce off the ceiling.

I left it all on auto because I did not want to be changeing settings. I figured auto would give me the best chance for consistancy.

After shooting nearly 200 photos, I found I got some good ones and some bad ones. The shoot was succesful in that the shots were worthy of a family memory album. But as far as photograghic performance I thoiught things could be much better.

I do not feel the equipment was limiting me, the shots actually looked about like what I would have gotten with my 35mm. More practice, experimenting, and I wish I had taken at least a few with the pocket bounce.
