What can I say? ... WOW !! Really cool shots.

I'm a newbie still trying to learn about all the kit out there, could you provide more details on what these things are ... "6T+Sigma Close up lens". With shots like those I'd like to check out prices.

Out of interest, have been reading about Depth of Field recently. It seems very short in #1. How did you get that? (So far I have only been able to work out that a small aperture value (e.g. f2.8) and lots of zoom reduce DOF)

Once again you have done an excellent job of showing us the possibilities of macro photography. Can't compete with this so I think I'll go shoot an elephant :)

Thanks for the comments! Appreciate them.

Will answer some questions you asked....

1) first of all, the DF is not dead....

2) Working distance with Nikon 6T and Sigma is 19cm, reverse lens is 4cm....and yes this fella was kind of cooperative.....it flew away once in a while but came back to more or less the same perch

3) You can check my signature below where it states the equipment details

Even on the Sigma CU lens (it was bought for the Sigma 70-300mm APO lens for my old SLR)

4) The lightning is ambient for all the pics, only one was w/o flash. The rest are with bounce flash.

Hope these answers help

More greatness from you. :-) I really love seeing the eyes so very close and intricate. But the last two are my favorite here. Cool look!
