does anyone shoot only jpeg

shot fireworks in raw only. having trouble coverting the files with dpp. is there anything else i could use. thanks micheal

Chris, I especially appreciate your 2nd paragraph regarding batch RAW processing. I haven't tried batch yet but will give it a go after sorting and deleting unwanted jpegs. I do my sorting with the jpegs-- my primary reason for shooting them.

I haven't tried the other canon programs for photo management yet but suspect that could be useful. I do sorting in Windows picture and fax viewer.

Thanks for response.

All digital cameras shoot RAW, it's just that some people have their RAW data turned into JPEGs in camera using the in camera JPEG engine in a small fraction of a second and then discard the original RAW data.
Nice reply, except I prefer Lightroom to convert my images.

I always shoot RAW. However, just out of curiosity I recently took some shots using RAW + Camera produced Jpegs. My main reason for doing so was to see whether I could exactly replicate the Jpeg from the RAW file (I could get close but not an exact match - using Lightroom). I also wanted to see how well the Jpegs turned out exposure wise without any adjustment.

Conclusion. It was a waste of time. Will never let the camera create my Jpegs again !!
