Does Amazon guarantee 100% that they won't shutdown DPReview forum like they did with IMDB forums?

Here's why IMDB forums died.
They didn't really die, though, they simply relocated to Facebook.

Personally, I'll add that such a relocation of DPReview would all but destroy it for me, since I view Facebook as a chaotic mess compared to the beautifully organized machine the DPReview website is.

But the popular vote will, as always, win the day.
The actual value of the IMDB forums for meaningful discussion on specific topics did totally die as a result of the shutdown. Everyone likes to share opinions , forum-like.

I believe trolls over-ran IMDB like they did Yahoo comments to an extent like major youtube channels like TYT. Yahoo comments is very active, but a total cesspool of trolls 99..999% politically one-sided

Interesting. This isn't surprising to me, since I believe that forums are clearly superior organizing instruments to social networking where conversations lack structure.
I believe trolls over-ran IMDB...
Perhaps. Yet this doesn't seem to be the reason for switching from the website to social networking sites. The switch apparently was primarily due to user preference. People like social networking better than forums. At least as far as movies go. We'll see if the same is true for photography, I guess.

Yeah!

That too!

..

oh...

wait...

Never mind! :-D

There isn't such thing as 100% of anything

:)
That was an IMDb decision, not an 'Amazon' decision. If these forums get closed it'll be our decision. And we have no intention of closing them :)
