If you look at the lines either side of the lens mount, the curve inwards to the pentaprism in the way the k5 etc does and the K1 does not. This suggests the narrower prism of an APS-C camera.

Indeed the converging lines are that of a Pentax aps-c camera, so given that Pentax have officially deleted the aged K-3ii from their range, I presume that it is a replacement for this. Seems obvious to me.

Hopefully this photo will put an end to the curious speculation about a K-1ii and a KPii.

Whatever, let's enjoy what we already have.

Evidently if this was taken with the new camera Pentax are still working on the exposure meter and jpeg resolution.

Not a lot to go on even when 'enhanced', but seems to have the extra dials of KP & K-1 (K-3 only has one dial). From relative sizes of parts I'd say a K-3II replacement.

So - something the 18th of February.

On international level there are several options to write a date:

In the US you have (if I am correct): Year-Month-Day (yyyy-mm-dd)

In Germany the common order is: Day-Month-Year (dd-mm-yyyy).

Thus, it could be and day of February 2018.

As long as it is not 31st of February it will be OK. There is a poem of the German writer Erich Kaestner about 31.February and there is a lot of nonsense happening at that day.

Lets hope for somthing up to and including 28th Feb 2018!
