Do the x10 complainers actually own the camera?

Wonderful.

I may not have the best attitude myself, but I try to keep it to responding to moronic posts.. all he did was try to cause trouble.
+1 FeedMe , I dont cause trouble from the off either, only in retaliation or when replying to provocative posts. He clearly went looking for it and seemed to love being abused . Takes allsorts i guess.

Yup - he's probably chained up in his little S&M dungeon, being a little sub to some big wobbly woman.. LOL!

???

I've learned from him that the X10 can sync at very high speeds, which pobably none of the X10-orb-lamenters would have found out.

Hah!

Well, I did post in his very first thread here (sub-thread deleted) that he's a well-known troll and has been banned from a great many groups and forums.

He was banned ages ago from the Flickr group I help moderate, and has even been banned from at least one 'no restrictions' group - and you have to be a real ass for that to happen. :-(

What's rather bizarre is that he's actually a reasonable photographer, and knows his way around a camera and lighting better than most in this forum. He seems to have an irresistible need to troll, though, so no matter what he knows he finds it impossible not to be an idiot.

Ohdearwhatashamenevermind. :-)

You needed a troll to tell you this?

Why wouldn't the X10 be able to sync at high shutter speeds, since it has no mechanical focal-plane shutter? Even my old Fuji S7000 can do this, as can pretty much any hotshoe-equipped bridge or P&S camera.

Still, never mind how you found out. The important thing is, I guess, that you now know. Have fun with it! :-)

Heh, I've even seen him trolling in comments on his own photos . I remember him once trying to convince a friendly and unknowing commenter (who had complimented him on the photo) that he was one of the female models in the pic. Work that one out!

nakeddork is a horn tooter and it never ends well for horn tooters. Their personal ego is their own monster.

And no matter how good or poor his photos were, if he was aiming to teach anyone something, that horn tooting method doesn't work. It's very difficult to get past arrogance.

He probably learned something from the members here himself - like very basic composition mistakes - like paying attention to his crooked backgounds and making sure that sewer caps aren't detracting from his images - and making sure that his ego doesn't bounce off into the corner of his model's eye These are very basic issues that a true pro would catch - even passionate photogs like we-underlings, particularly before posting and doing a bunch of loud horn tooting. Brag is a four-letter word.

He was horrendous to the members here but his comments about DPR were beyond any level of normalcy. You can jump on the baby bears, but you gotta leave papa alone.

And I've learned, from just a single photo by him, to avoid sewer drains and chopping off the top of the head when framing. Ah, and crooked horizons too!

I think it takes some people a long time to realize that giving free reign to their smug arrogance by trying to embarrass everyone else or posting pretentious twaddle is not clever at all. It's just childish and silly and everyone sees it for what it is.

Which is why hiding behind multiple identities after a ban never works :-)

According to his own website he has a "self-defeating personality".
