disable self timer count down beep...

Folks,

I often use the 2 sec self timer to avoid camera shake and in those occasions the count down beep is very annoying. Is there a way to disable it. I mean, I'd like to have focus beep etc... is there a way to disable the timer beep alone? Reading through the manuals I don't find a way to do this, but I suspect that this is a common issue.

I don't think you can disable that one alone. The camera do have a feature to disable the beep., but it will disable the beep in focusing too.
