DiMAGE Z3 hands on preview

For the time being, I guess no one really knows the min. aperture. I could not even find a note in the manual of the Z3.

I believe that the fstop range is 2.8--------------8??. Is that
right??

Hard to say. Depends on the amount of zoom you use, the aperture at that zoom level and the lighting conditions.

That's why I'm curious about how the aperture changes when zooming. If it's under 4.0 in most of the zoom range (say, 1x-8x), it's OK. But if it's quickly goes over 4.0 when zooming (e.g from 4x zoom), then the Panasonic FZ10/20 gets a big plus sign in the competition.
 
I'm sure it's f8. I saw f2.8 and f8 mentioned on one of the manual pages, but only as an exampe, not a real spec.
