Data Recovery Software?

Once data has been overwritten, recovery is not possible. Therefore, I recommend trying the free demo versions of the best data recovery software available because these software cannot recover deleted data if your old files have been replaced with new ones. Some data recovery software like Stellar will show you a preview of the deleted files for free, so you can determine if your lost data can be retrieved.

Need recommendations for Data recovery Software? I have both Wondershare Recoverit and Ease US Data Recovery Wizard. I am trying to recover the data on an 8TB HHD that the root drive was accidentally deleted from. Neither program seems to be able to find all the files. one will find some the other some more.

Does anyone have any recommendations for better service than these?
Did you maybe try and contact the drive mfr? Some do offer data recovery services. While it may cost more, they may have better methods or different tools that may have higher success rate so it might be worth asking. Worst case is they don't.

I would maybe start looking into actual recovery services. You don't want to run the risk of causing total data loss too, so it might be wise to see out professional services. My concern would be if you keep trying different tools, you may lessen your chance of getting as much data back as you really want to stop using the drive once you notice this (or the drive shows signs of premature failure) and have someone else try who perhaps is an expert in the field and techniques that can minimize further data loss. That would be my suggestion. It may cost more, but depending on the value of the data ,it may be worth the cost.

For a complex data recovery task like recovering an 8TB HDD where the root drive was accidentally deleted, you should choose the one with advanced recovery options. I would recommend Stellar Data Recovery, DiskDrill, or Tenorshare. These software are well-known for their ability to recover data from large drives and support a wide range of file systems and file types.

I suggest try the trial version first to check the recovery before purchase.

I don't. But if you do buy then don't forget to cancel the sneaky auto renewing subscriptions.

Sometimes these programs lead you down the wrong path and you end up paying a bit more than just subscriptions. While I don't expect programs like those found online to give away their services for free, it seems that many of them are sneaky about what you must pay to get your data back and even then so, their guarantees (if there is one) is probably sketchy at best. Many people assume that by paying they will get their data back. They may get nothing and you don't really know if it's a failure of the software or the storage media in question or they blame it on the storage media.

Rather than risk going down that rabbit hole, I'd strongly recommend the OP reach out to one of the professional data services. IF it's just a memory card (say 1TB or less) it cannot be that much to get the data back. Maybe cheaper than they think.

For recovering data I would suggest first trying the free edition of the data recovery software, if the free edition can recover your data as per the claim then you can go for the paid one. I would recommend you try Stellar, Recuva, or Test Disk, I believe they all have a free edition, so you’ll save money and also come to know which software works best for you

This is simply Easeus rebranded. I would not recommend it.
