Dear Greg,

Very detailed shot and what a rich light on the beatle. My eyes are continously going from the car to the shadow of the tree. Very funny. I like this very much and I think you have a superiour camera with de D1x, I'm thingking about buying one, for the moment I still use the Fuji S1, but I will wait to see the results of the Fuji S2 en Nikon D100. I make a few testimages with the D1x and the image quality was superior to my S1. I could push the images up to 50 MB and the quality remains very good.

With kind regards,--Dirk Vermeirre

Greg,

Oh, that kind of bug :-) It may be just-for-fun, but it's very well done, as I've learned to expect from you. Your unusual composition is just right, in my opinion. Great shadows, great lines in the car. I'm searching for you in all those reflective surfaces...

I like the old-fashioned photo border, too.

Thanks for providing me with several minutes of entertainment and education, Greg.

LOL, Great bugshadow, Greg. Glad to see you're squeezing in some just for fun. Wish my just for fun photos were works of art like this one. Expertly seen and captured. Thanks, Jan

Hey Dirk - thanks for commenting. Yeah the D1x is nice, but I've seen lovely images come out of the S1 (yours for example). Just make sure you go with what suits your style and approach best. In my case, I like the F5/F100 body style on the D1x - the controls and such are a good fit for me. Of course the image quality is nice too ;-)

Thanks for writing christo. Yeah I was attracted to the relationship of the form of the beetle and the tree shadow, and set to work finding a good way to capture that.
