I'm glad to know it's just a knee and that Merena didn't kill him after last Challenge. grin again

Get well soon, Rod!

Life is good... even when it's not.

I just broke me knee in five places & had to have a week off work. The missus has taken good care of me & provided a stool near the oven so I will be more comfortable when I'm cooking.............Yes... I was still naughty:-)
Regards Rod

As Mereana knows that Kiki led me on & I'm the innocent party. But I do have to do the cooking for the whole of next week even though I've broken me knee in eight places:-)
Regards Rod

Well I had a serious accident lifting something heavy & broke me knee cap in ten places which looking on the bright side got me off work for a whole week. Me boss is obviously a lot more compassionate than me missus cos I still have to cook all next week, even though it was Kiki that came onto me & I was only being polite to her. But Mereana seems to think Kiki is an innocent little Nordic girl & butter wouldn't melt in her mouth........................Maybe I should show Mereana Kikis posts to Lonnit:-)
Regards Rod

Hey mate, did you really do that to your knee cap? If so, that doesn't sound good at all and I wish you a speedy recovery. Maybe you need Kiki to fly down from the north to put some ice on it for you? Come to think of it a swollen purple and blue knee cap might make a good high contrast shot ;-)

Take care of yourself Rod and fill us in on how you manged to bugger yourself up so much- sounds like quite an accomplishment.

... and sorry to hear about your accident. "B^( a.

Me thinks he means ten pieces. [confusion] cuz he said five places in another post. Broken in ten places would mean 20 pieces. Its probably those pain pills I hope he's taking.
..which looking on the bright side got me off work for a whole week.
That doesn't seem like enough, to me. A bloke of ... ah, your age needs a bit more time to heal.
Me boss is obviously a lot more compassionate than me missus
You ought to appeal to his compassion for more time off, seems to me. If you can do it in a week, my hat's off to you, mate. Good luck and may the winds be always at your back ":^)

Cheers,

The technical name is a bit of a pulled tendon/ligament thingy. We don't get any sympathy from the girls unless we've broken a few bones do we:-)

Yea stretching the truth like the ligament -

Well I'm glad you're back in more or less one piece. Your.. politeness has been missed.

Mereana is ALWAYS right - a feature shared by women world wide. But by all means - show away ;)

Seriously though: Wasn't one knee cap enough? Hmm?

I was just thinking about my little Nordic Nut and I pop back into the threads to see what's happening, and lo and behold, not just lo or behold, but both of them... lo and behold, my whithers were quivering for a reason!

By all means, Rod! The more the merrier, and I've seen Mereana naked!

What was that about sharing women worldwide? :)
Seriously though: Wasn't one knee cap enough? Hmm?
Some people can be soooo greedy!

Sorry about the shattered kneecap and the cooking despite it. I got a week off kitchen duty when I got my gallbladder removed. :)

After you dumped me ( sob ) Rod was gallant (or opportunistic) enough to ease my pain with poetry. The heartbreaking adventure started about here:

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1010&message=27030802

(you don't need to read more in that thread, the reply was copied over to part two of jano's rhyme challenge:

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1010&message=27035549

and there it went on for a couple of days - until Rod dumped me too. How do I do it.. it's like pure magic. Anyway, great drama :) I never got around to say break a leg though, so he has himself to blame for the knee!

Congrats Mickey what a picy. Amazing shot was worth the win. You must not have picked the right topic though since there seems to be a lack of complaining about it. Sound like fun to me. We'll see if I can be a little more competitive this time.

Your neighbor,
Doug
