creating Win 11 recovery usb issue

That is exactly how I have created the drive on my other machine and it worked just fine. It appears the media creation tool is all over the place suggesting different size usb drives however. On this dell win 11 computer it clearly states no smaller than 32GB. I have tried 64 ,32 without success on this computer but did successfully make a drive witrh a 32 on another computer-- all computers updated win 11 and all computers no more than 18 months old. I will try an 8 fat32 today sometime -

correct-- it is not a generic win 11 reinstall as you need no reactivation . from my experience it will only ask for MS account info. so you can get back into the hive if you desire.

It will have to wait -I haven't bought an 8GiB usb since eisenhower was president .
