Looking for some feedback from forum members using the R6ll. I am getting fed up with Nikon due to the lack of f4 zooms. They have the z24-70 f4 and z24-120 f4 lenses which are excellent. But no f4 70-200 or say 100-400. They offer these lenses in f2.8, but they are well above $2000. So, wondering how R6ll files do with printing up to 36x24 prints? I know there is software like gigapixel ai for enlargements, but would prefer to be able to do a little cropping and print up to 36x24 without using software. Thoughts…. Greg

I have several 30" X 20" prints on my walls from 6.3MP 300D and 8MP 20D cameras. They look excellent. I remember when the move from the 40D to the 50D was a jump from 10MP to 15MP. Everyone on the forums here was blown away by the high megapixel count, claiming it was too many. The 16MP full frame 1DsII was considered ultra high resolution. You can easily crop a 24MP file and print at 36 X 24. The results will be great.

Thanks for that Alastair - coming from a pro like yourself, that is very helpful! Greg

It's no R5 but it can hold its ground. I wouldn't worry about your print sizes.

The R6ii is the best camera under $3k on the market. There is nothing that can touch it if you need high fps, 4k video, good autofocus etc. It's very well rounded. Basically a lower res version of the Z8.

Superb camera. Certainly capable of large prints. If you need more res, there is the R5 also.
