Challenge 91: In The Style of...Art

Has completed as of Tuesday, Apr 17th 2007 0:00 UTC
and therefore it iis time to do the diffiult task of Voting!!!

There are so many great entires...and yet choices will have to be made. Generally I have a fair idea of who is going to win...but in this instance, I haven't a clue.

And I dare say that no one else does either...lol

Challenge 91 Galleries: http://www.pbase.com/cslr_challenge/cslr91

You may place your votes at http://www.liteserv.com/cslrvotebooth

After you vote, please add a note to this thread affirming that you have cast your ballot and that there were too many good entries and that you had a tough time selecting just 5 entires...I have 12 must Vote For, but only 5 votes...sigh

Voting Ends: Thursday, April 18th 2007 23:59 UTC

The following activities are banned:
1. Anonymous voting.
2. Voting for your own entries.

3. "Stacking" the votes. Although anybody and everybody is encouraged to vote, do not ask friends and family to vote for your pictures. CSLR detectives can find that out easily.... wouldn't you agree?

Good Luck to Everyone...and I'd like to add what a pleasure it has been to see...just such wonderous creativity from everyone.

The pleasure has truly been mine.

Best Wishes,

Traveller

An amusing and interesting challenge, Traveller. I would imagine most found it educating too. For better or worse ;)

Mentioned this before, but I visited more online galleries over the past two weeks than I have in the prevous years - a thank to those who posted links to various artists.

...two of the Silhouette images are displaying....I'm assuming that Lonnit deleted one for whatever reason.

Voted in both and enjoyed it immensely! Thank you, Traveller, for inventing such a delightful challenge for us and being such a good host! It was worth the wait! Sharon

...to traverse, peruse, peek into these Galleries....but only because of all the work everyone so well brought out of themselves.

I have tried to be a good Host...to both have fun and bring the best out in people. This was important to me for some unaccountable reason.

I do have a confession:

I did recompress 2 images in Eligible and 6 in Exhibition....without telling anyone. This is often such a burden on the Host...begging, pleading, threatenting...I just did it. Oh, I did it well and with care to be sure...but no one has said a word about this...lol

I believe that this is the preferred method to resove this difficulity that seems to crop up with some frequency.

And an Apology and Request...which I suppose I will do later since voting is on-going and these involve current images.

BTW, who did Franz Marc's work and the dog, Loki over in Pending, Melanie?

Best Wishes,

Traveller

to entrants for such high quality work.

Entries again so good that voting was difficult.

Thanks Traveller for the great challenge and your great hosting.

My education in 'Art' styles/Artists etc. was boosted significantly as a result.

Regards
