I would have entered this, but not only was it taken too soon, it was also taken with the wrong brand of camera.

Hi Dan.

Oh Dear.

I'm sorry to report that my poor little 2800 received a good whack
on its zoom to abruptly end the final shoot for the last challenge.
( Sad, but alas, true ) It is at the NJ repair center - I
hope it returns in time for the current challenge!

While it was my lack of diligence to secure the tripod head which
caused the camera to swing down and commit hari kari, surely it was
YOUR challenge which caused the excitement which led to a perfectly
understandable momentary lapse of conscience decision.

I'm afraid my crack team of snarling solicitors is already loosed
and closing in.

Your disclaimer has shown me the folly of my litigious ways.
Please accept my apologies.

Fantastic.... I spend 12 hours a day on a road-building project, and now I have to spend my spare time photographing one as well!

Mark there are motorcycle, truck and stock car races there, as well
as footraces. I can't imagine running that course. I could hardly
breathe just standing on the summit! 8-p

I've hiked up to the top before. Took 6 hours and is probably my biggest physical accomplishment. (Besides Army Basic Training)

I just finished post-processing my entry but when I went to post it I found the server is down. It is returning 500 Internal Server Error.

Oh well I'm sure Dan will get it going and I'll post my entry when he does. Makes me wonder what I stayed up until 2am for though.
