Challenge #6 - VOTING - "Faces of the world"

1. John_Brain-Taz. I think this was a clear winner from the moment it was posted. Really a beautiful shot!

2. Paul_Sansom-SarahGrace. I thought this was an OK photo that became really interesting with the the 'sepia' look

3. PowerPet-The face behind the broadcast. A nicely composed photo. I wish the subject had been a little more animated -- maybe caught mid-sentence or ??

Doug, You really cought my attention with this shot. Only minus is that the subject is not looking at the camera :-)

Brent, what could I say, this woman really looks through you. And that calmness on her face. A bit disturbing...

Midnight2, well, better not say anything about the shot. Still, I can find a REAL human being behind that frame. Not so usual these days :-)

Just my opinions. Hope everyone enjoys photographying more than competitioning.

John Brian- outstanding, direct communication, the eyes grab you and don't let go.

PowerPet- powerful & dynamic, would have been a winner in the composition challenge too.

Myron Nyquist- great idea & wonderful execution of an alternative exposition of the Faces theme.

Voting was very hard for me. Other favs:
D. Barber- wonderful ancient face.
Veijo- wonderful innocent face.
...and more.

midnight2, CP775, 4500

Reason:

1 The boy is really cute.

2 Really jumps out!

3 I like the overall atmosphere and light

Animals are very much a face of the world, great expression in the dogs face, and great natural lighting and composition with the street lines played a huge part in my choice.

I did not like the blacked out backgrounds on many of the images, I thought it stole a lot of the image space and did not really set the scene, this being said the face on John's work is a face of the world for sure -great picture- but 2nd due to the black background. I did not feel even though it was mentioned in the rules that it gave the look and feel of natural light. They were all good pictures but some just looked "too" studio lite.

Midnight2's pic was again a face of the world, captured in a true setting. I wish I could have voted for more.
Larry - great shot!
Petra, great face, bit too studio looking for me though.
Jim- nicely framed and great detail.

Ian- Loved the window picture, wish more contrast, but must have been hard enough getting the lighting right!
Smee, nice work great color and expression.
Kitgard- love the tooth sticking out!
The non-human faces were great!
Grumpy! scary but it is a face of the world!
Airbete- good shot, wish it was not so cropped.
Brent- liked the color and pose very effective.
Heck they were all good! Hard picking!
Congrats to everyone!
OK, I am sounding a bit to coum bi ja !
On to the next one! motion motion motion!
