**** Challenge 5 main thread ******

I guess there are a few days to take the most joyous pic I can with my new A2 (dropped it today onto a stone floor - it seems to have survived) but in the meantime I just posted my most joyful 'back catalogue pics' taken at an amazing wedding in Tuscany last September.

When people marry in their forties, they really mean it - and this was the happiest and most beautiful wedding I've ever attended! I went for a blurry look that day. Nothing to do with alcohol....

Hi folks,
Looks like things are slowing down at work and I'll have time to
use the camera. I've missed taking shots so I brought the cam on my
last business trip to Iowa, here what you can do when stuck in a
Hotel room in the "middle of nowhere" :-)

The shot was a bit late for the "Alone" competition. BTW Great
shots. I would have had a hard time dividing up 16 points...

Best,
Mark

Well, I went and did it. I have entered a photo for the gallery. I am a rank amature and know my feeble attempts will pale in comparison to the likes of Clifford, John Down Under, Claudio, etc, etc, etc. I only hope I have met the theme of this challenge. Thanks a lot guys!

Gotta get a catchy tagline.

Hi Philip,

Good original idea!

We are all amateur here....don't worry. I find that since I started to look at other people photos and trying to give feedback by understanding why I like them or not, I actually improved my photography. It's not easy to do at first, but worth the effort in my mind.

I know you got it ;-) I'm just bumping the thread to the first page as usual but using new definitions of joy instead of the weather report... but in case you miss the weather report from Toronto: today is sunny with a bit of clouds, but it's warming up quite nicely.
