Finally....I have my entries uploaded. It's taken a lot of experimenting but I am happy with what I ended up with. I hope everyone else is just about ready with their entries....if not, keep at it-perseverence pays off ( usually :) )

Very Often In Awe
 
The rest of my family have their shots but the kids still have to PP theirs.

For once I think I can count both my shots as ‘A’ shots instead of my usual ‘A’ and a ‘B’ shot. The majority of people favour my second shot and think I should put it in the ‘Main’ where I usually put what I consider to be my best shot, but as I rate my other shot quite highly I’m going to let my ‘best’ shot shoot it out with the big DSLR boys in the ‘Open’ category for once and see if it can stand up for itself. I’m taking a risk but it adds to the fun :-) .

haha Neil, it's always a tough decision as to which photo to submit. Luckily this time the cameras I used decided for me. Sounds like you are rather confident- we better beware ! I'm starting to get that "I can't wait to see everyone's entry"feeling. Bring on Friday(my time). :)

Very Often In Awe
 
Leanne, I’m quietly confident of reasonable results (with all my fingers crossed) but I haven’t seen the opposition’s photos yet. I to am very keen to see everybody else’s entries. The last time I considered that I had double ‘A’ entries was in ‘Urban Spirit’ and I got two 4th places which was my best ever combined result. That’s the kind of result I would like for these entries, a top five for both would be great but it will depend a lot on other people’s shots and tastes. I just hope I haven’t grown too fond of my own shots causing my judgement to be clouded as I have done before :-/ .

I think you are going to have to fight me for that honour Buck.

I have one for the Open I like (but no one else - a bit off the wall) but if I put one in the Main it will be a "participation shot" only. I have a few - nothing spectacular and might put one in just for the humility factor.

Well the 21 is a little sad. Get out your Fujifilm cams folks and get square! A sub challenge ... I have not yet been able to take my main shot. I have a full day of work and meetings for the young one.... I am going to get my shot and I challenge whomever is reading this that has not got one in the main to do so as well

I won't be home at the scheduled start of voting later today, so I extended the entry period by 1.5 hours. A little more time to work on those entries!

Some people still haven't figured out the "Square" part of it. There are a handful of entries in the Main and Open categories that are not in a square format. Earlier this week, I emailed some of the entrants to let them know that the images should be square, but a few more have come in more recently. If you've submitted an image that is not a square format (same size horizontally and vertically), I expect it will be hard to get many votes for it.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. Unfortunately I did not manage to get my entries in as there has not been time to edit the images I took as there have been trips to and from the hospital and many chores to do.

The entries all look wonderful! I will try to vote tomorrow, though I will be packing as I have to return to South Africa on Tuesday. My daughter has begun her first cycle of chemo and it seems to be going well.

Well its getting late and I am still working ... I started to make comments and then life happened. I am still going to try.

I think I managed to pickle barrel this one :-D I just showed my wife my out-takes and she was surprised at what I did not enter
