cats in boxes

I do like the cats in boxes set - very much cats in their natural habitat. Our cat is an odd exception, though a typical cat in most ways - clawing the furniture, random vomiting, gifts of dead animals - she has no interest in boxes. She will get into cupboards occasionally, but only while checking for food.

That list is definitely typical cat stuff. Clawing the furniture - check. Random vomiting - check. Gifts of dead animals - Molly is strictly an indoor cat, so not this. Trixie makes several trips into our garage each day, so once she brought in a live lizard she found there, but never a dead one. Your cat is only the second time I’ve heard of no interest in boxes - a friend back in NJ has two rescue cats that are both afraid of boxes!

These are indeed interesting and fun, but you can add our cat to the list of non-interested in boxes. All cats I have had before (10 or so) were box and bag dwellers.

Ok - that’s three cases I know about so far, and more than I would ever expect.

I am not an expert on cats, but they are hunters, and best chances you have if you are a hunter is if you hunt from a hide. So maybe that's the reason they like to crawl into small boxes. But I can be wrong, maybe they just like boxes because they like them.
