Listening to the advise of the group and Mike's input,I bought the C875.
Kodak on-line $179.95, includes 1GB Card and free shipping.

Seemed to good to pass up. Original price $299.00(still that at Ofc Depot)

Wow....when I convert that to ££££....it seems insanely cheap.....you will like the camera I am sure, the price should make you enjoy it even more

Original UK Kodak price for many weeks ...279 !!! about 530 USD including [email protected]%

It is now available for 125 UKP inc tax or 240 USD!!

I must ask....WHY does a camera drop so obscenely in price?? Whats the catch????

The digital point and shoot bubble is bursting (Well, in the UK it is).

With mobiles that double up as a 3mp+ camera and bluetooth printing booths (so a computer isn't required), why buy a basic p/s digital camera at all?

With digital SLR's like the D40 starting at £350 (soon to be reduced after the silly season), I am sure that places like Jessops will drop most of the p/s cameras like they have in the Tunbridge Wells branch (only one Kodak in there for sale last week).

For the remaining p/s cameras, there will have to be a sweet deal for shops to even stock these and possibly a "Only our brand to be sold here" contracts?

A selection of Kodak digitals, Nikon film and digital SLR's and a large format camera to boot.
