Balancing the scores

JC,

These images have been processed so thoroughly that I would be surprised if anyone had. Perhaps in RAW there are some. I doubt that they could be found there either.

Maybe this is the reason for the "dust" spots, although unlikely. I think Karl and others are right that that is more likely in the camera and the result of sloppy manufacturing.

Perhaps.

Who knows?

Laurence
However, I fail to see the same criitical eyes turned to the
existing crop of Bayer sensors.
Has anyone detected any dead pixels from any of the SD9 images? I
myslef havent paid close attention to that area, but I havent
noticed any.

Hi, zettlers,
FYI,
Just my opinion if you don't mind-

I contacted Sigma once and they informed me that they have no intensions of abandoning their 35mm camera/ dslr line. (Of course I'm taking thier word for it ;-) ) In terms of their lenses, I have been using their EX line for about five years and have had no issues with their quality.

(Maybe I'm lucky!) They also have some good cheaper lenses that have gotten favorable reviews in comparison to their competition (28-135mm comes to mind). If you are interested in finding out more, you may want to check out what others say about sigma (photo.net. photographyreview.com, etc.) for a more balanced judgement. They also have a very versatile flash system, which I also use.

I intend to get the SD9, and for all it "limitations", it is more than enough for what I can and want to do with it!
Regards,
Geo.

Then there are a whole number of practical problems with the Sigma
SD9 and lense system.

Hello,

Karl stated this:

Which was his response to MY first message.

It was not the response to Zettlers I was referring to.

You said:

But now you also attack Sigma and their lenses!!!! :

This statement has nothing to do with your "innoncent" "Analyzing"
of the Foveon sensor.....
