Aperture/Spyder 3 Studio/Print Color Management

I am also struggling with the latest driver for my Pro9000. I was advised by Canon to utilize the CUPS driver since I am using Aperture. The new driver added the latest paper profiles, but also eliminated the "None" selection in Color Options.

I noticed that the Color Options drop down selections are grayed-out when I choose a paper profile in Aperture's ColorSync box. Canon advised me that this indicates that the application is disabling printer color management.

I would appreciate anyones feedback on the correct driver for Aperture as my results are still mediocre.

Thanks.

I just changed the global menu under color management from normal to
light print.
I had the same problem with my Canon ip4500 and Photoshop. My prints were far to dark. Changing color management to ' light print' didn't solve the problem because the colors didn't quite match my Apple Cinema HD 23 any longer. My solution was setting the lightness slider in ' Spyder3 Print' to +10. Now my colors match my Apple Cinema perfectly!
Greetings, Pollo
