I'm guessing most everyone has looked at one of the many sensor charts online. Between the 2/3" sensor and the 1" sensor is a 1/1.2" sensor.

I see that back in 2012 Nokia made an 808 PureView smartphone ($200+ used) with the sensor. I also see that the sensor can be used in IP cameras.

But did anyone put it into a stills camera?

I wonder if I could find a non-flying drone and use the camera from it. Would it be possible somehow, maybe with modifications?
Unless you're the MacGyver of cameras, the only way to use a drone camera is through its associated controller and/or mobile app.

How is the IQ with your 1/8, mine is unbelievable, so are the colors with 2.11MP and such a small sensor.

The 3100Z was classified as a "high-end prosumer camera" back in its day. It was 3.3mp (not 3.1mp) but could interpolate to 4.8mp. It's the only Epson I own but from what I have read pretty much all Epson digitals were very good.

Thanks, very nice, hard to tell apart from a modern camera. I'm posting a few samples from my 2.11MP

I never noticed there was a camera with the same 2.1MP 1/2" sensor as my Epson. Having the curiosity of a cat, I went and bought one, it has a good quality build, it arrived yesterday.

I kind of like it, but I have no experience with Smart media cards, and it feels strange to me, I was able to download images on my computer easily and the images are good, but I need to use it enough to claim it matches the Epson

The Olympus C2020 was closer to the Epson. Same sensor, same lens as also was the Casio 2000UX. I suspect all made by Sanyo.
