All the rumours in a nutshell

You needn't tell me. I started in 2001 with Dimage D7 and know the whole Minolta - KM - Sony road up to my present A700 very well. My problem with the A5xx may be that I wear glasses and have a large nose. So perhaps I have to maintain a larger distance between OVF and eye. A700 is good, A2 is even better.
I had an A1 that I bought in 2003. It was a fine camera--but my A700 & the A900 are among the best ever. I expect that we'll have a good number of Sony system cameras with great ergonomics in the near future.

Read this thread from the very first one on down. This thread has only been about the NEX. I didn't start it.
What this thread has developed into is an utter waste of bandwith. As for cries of "I didn't start it", I hear that all the time - from my 13 and 8 year-old daughters.

I didn't start it. And there is no reason to compare me to an 8 year old. You can't produce any facts to document your rumors so you change the subject. Amazing.

The only thing that is amazing is the fact that this debate has continued for so long without either side being able to offer meaningful data to support their argument. Then again, refusing to let go is exactly the behaviour I would expect in a primary school playground, so I think the comparison is perfectly valid ;)

Oh, and in case I've been confused with someone that gives a sh* t, they're not my rumours - I have not commented anywhere on NEX sales levels. All I have said is that I would not trust Amazon's US (or UK for that matter) sales rankings as providing any useful data as far as camera sales go. As ar as the argument about NEX sales goes, I'm neutral - just a bemused bystander.

I didn't speak about Canon but about all DSLR makers. And what is the benefit of a OVF compared to a good EVF ? You immediately recognize that your batteries are empty, or what else ? I used OVF and EVF last week, tell me !
The benefit of OVF over EVF is image quality in the viewfinder. EVF is getting much better, but there's still a lag, especially at lower light levels. Right now, OVF provides a better viewing experience.

How much is that lag?

Refresh rate is 60 Hz.
