AI face unblurring software

No offense to you, since you are only sharing output, but it's very obvious your Artguru AI version is an AI creation, with plastic skin and "uncanny valley" eyes.

Madbrain's Topaz AI fix was far more lifelike to my eyes.

I was fairly impressed with the ability of Topaz Sharpen AI to reduce small focus errors.

Unfortunately, Photo AI seems to lack the focus deblur controls of Sharpen. And Sharpen AI is no longer supported.
I didn't know that. I have Sharpen AI and access to Photo AI v1. Since Adobe Denoise AI came out I stopped using Photo AI and kept Sharpen AI around. Last time it was updated was in 2022 and not is it supported any longer, you can't purchase it either. It is a mature product so it works well.

This is what Photo AI v1 did when it was just released in 2022. I realize it has changed a lot since then which includes v2. I'm surprised there would be less control.

Photo AI has four sharpening choices, Lens blur, motion blur, standard and strong. In addition, there are 2 sliders that allow adjustments for each one individually. All in all, there a lot more controls than there were when you bought v1 in 2022.
Sorry for the late reply. I have not problem believing that. I have never needed Gigapixel and now I don’t need DeNoise AI so to pay for the whole PAI package just not make sense to me. When I do need it Sharpen AI is adequate.

Photo AI seems to lack an explicit choice of focus blur models, unlike Sharpen.
Not true. It offers several choices.
I'm not the first to whine about the loss of some adjustability that was present in the old Sharpen, Denoise, and Gigapixel trinity.
That's not true. It offers everything that old individual programs did and then some. They are there but you have to choose the function to reveal the choices.
After Ai Denoise, I have also found the old Sharpen worked better than AI Photo….however, Topaz just upgraded Photo with new sharpen modules, so…??

Update: Photo AI 3.2.0 added 3 models: refocus, lens blur 2, and natural.

(I'm not sure what the latter two do.)

The "refocus" model seems to improve on Photo AI's ability to enhance small defocus errors. It's a major improvement, IMHO.

These are just a few examples of OOF DSLR photos from my Pentax K-30 .

Even as 2 x 2 cm square on my phone, I can still tell something is wrong. I usually like looking younger, but I have to say I'm not in love with this "baby face" look.
