I recently fired up my a6000 which I got almost 10 years ago and connected it to my laptop. Same laptop I use Imaging Edge Remote with my other Sony camera. But live view display would not appear, and so it took me while before I found that this was not supported for the a6000

So my question is, has there been a 3rd party driver or imaging software that can do live view display? Is there any support for live view display with the a6000?

Maybe the Pengo HDMI to USB video grabber would work for you. HDMI cable from camera to Pengo, USB from Pengo to computer. My setup with A6000 (works great):

ANDYCINE HDMI to USB 2.0 Video Capture U2H41 B&H Photo Video

This may be just what I need. I had not tried out my a6000 in a few years, and only now am remembering live display was not provided by Sony on this camera (i.e. for software such as CaptureOne or Imaging Edge). Thinking for a trip to use the a6000 for a night timelapse, and to get in focus the best method for me is to zoom in a view the stars.
