I had just sat down to eat lunch and had the first bite of my sandwich when I heard what sounded like a hurricane behind me. Then the room turned white and I ran away from the sound. When I turned around I saw the glass and other debris still coming down. Then I saw the truck and the pore woman pined to the soda fountain. As all the people that had run into the center of the room started to take inventory of them selves, someone noticed that there was blood on the floor near us. One man had a bad laceration on his hand, another on his ear. I asked someone to check my back as I was covered in glass and he told me I was fine. Then I fell into a chair. When the fire department responded moments later they evacuated the restaurant and I sat there. One fire fighter came over to me and I told him, "Not the way I wanted to spend lunch getting showed by glass and debris." I pointed out the chair I had been sitting in with the truck 4 inches behind it. He asked if I was OK and I told him I thought so, though I was in shock. He told me to stay where I was and try to relax. As I started to feel better about 15 or 20 minutes later he saw me looking at my lunch and came over and suggested I not eat it. I looked up and said I had already come to that conclusion even though I saw no glass.
I saw horrible things that I have left out of my account of the incident. It was very pleasant spending the evening with my family.
