5D Mark II Build Quality/ Reliability

I've had a 5DII since last December. The camera's quite solid and is a real workhorse. Maybe they changed the CF door more recently as mine is thick, solid and I can't make it creak no matter how I try.
Yea, I am one of the guys who bellyaches about the CF door but I belong to a small camera group with members shooting a variety of cameras. Five of us have 5DII's and mine is the only one that creaks. So maybe they have fixed this in later versions.

Hi there,

im thinking of upgrading to the 5D mark II. Would appreciate any views on build, reliability, weather sealing. Anyone used it in extreme conditions etc. views much appreciated
No issues with mine. I have used it in light misty fog/rain with no problem. I do have the creaky CF door, but I hae learned to ignore that pretty much. I think that the build quality is pretty good. It is not to the level of the 1D series but then the price isn't up there either (niether is the weight).

FYI: No complaints about low ISO pattern noise from these other four users either ;-)
