Just used the 4" roll paper for the first time. First of all had a hard time getting the paper started into the printer. Second of all the prints are so curled. What am I doing wrong? Prints are wonderful though once I figured out the settings to use. But the curl is terrible.

Are you supposed to use the plastic guide that came with it? In the book it looks like you only use that for the larger rolled paper. Plus, stupid me, if it is for the 4" paper I could not figure out which way it is to go into the printer with the rolled paper.

Appreciate any input...

I had the same problem. You have to encourage the paper to lay flat. It has been rolled up for some time. I rolled them in the oposite direction for a short time to get them less curled. Helped a little.

The plastic guide is to be used with the 4" roll also. It is used to counter the curl on the lead in part of the roll to allow easier initial feeding.

It is a good idea to uncurl the first foot or so at the beginning when you feed the paper into the printer. You can do this with a magazine where you reverse curl the paper a couple of times. Make sure the leading edge does not have a slight curl to it. Right after printing, I would uncurl the printed strip of pictures using the same magazine method. Piling up finished pictures and putting a flat weight on them early on should also help.
