I talked to this guy at the local photo store hre in the windy city and he told me Canon was going to stop production of the 1D Mk II. What little they have made, will be sold and that is it.

With the 300D and the 10D being canceled, Canon sees no need for the 1D Mk II to continue.

Apparently they are gearing up production for the new camera coming any day or month now that will stop the whole world from buying that Nikon camera.

And you thought these forums were full of helpful posts...

The comedy club is down the street. This is not the place to practice being "witty", wasting everyone's time.

Ahh, get a life. Wasting your time? I suppose you read EVERY post on here that says the 10D is being canceled? Every freakin week there is more and more of them. You post this reply of yours to every one? I think not. You didn't have to read it, you chose to. And if it wastes too much of your time, try reading twice as fast. Why don't you SAVE your time by turning your computer off?

It was only meant as a joke to all those who constantly post that these cameras are going bye bye. If it wasted your time, then it wasted your time.

Thank you. Glad someone saw, and likes to see, humor in here, more so than stupidity.

...with a new attempt of declaring these cameras dead. :-)

I think we can safely bet on the 1D Mark II being around for quite a while, as well as the 300D and 10D. They are and will all be selling like hot cakes for some time to come.

A joke !? Darn, and I just put all my gear up on eBAY and ordered Nikon stuff to replace it. I wonder how you cancel an auction.

Gotta go...maybe my buddy will submit fake bids so I can undo my chicken little action....please don't tell ebay.

ps...any pointers on where I can get a life? I tried searching the forum and can't find anything. The guys at B&H just hung up on me when I asked them
