Great collection, I enjoyed these!

Wonderful photos, we could use a few descriptions and locations. ;)

Looks like a great trip. Nice shots.

The truth? I don't remember exactly each of the places.
But the Lighthouses mostly in Maine, and the other places Vermont, NH, CT and also Boston......And Lake Placid, NY.

Very nice. You have some pleasing compositions there. I particularly like the lighthouse with reflection in the pool (a tidal pool I guess?).

Very nice Fall compositions. I like the tree line in color with the sky and foreground in B&W.

I need to start using the voice memo feature......
There are many options. Now you can use Google lens to identify the subject and location. You could even load up a Google map on your phone and take a picture of that.

I'm not into GPS or voice memos for battery and storage reasons. However, if you just snap a photo within your timeline of intersection signs, city boundary sign, trailhead, even from a another camera, when you load them up for viewing you'll have a reference point.

Happy shooting!

Around this time in NE, I expect most photos to highlight fall colors. You have a couple of those. And the colors look good.

Overall, a great set of photos. I like your framing of the landscapes.

Thanks

You live in a very beautiful country.

Love every one of these.

Like the images - curious question for you (or others who might know): when you are at ISO 400 why not go to ISO 500 to take advantage of the "2nd base ISO function of Z8"?

I have tried to do this but have not had time to apply my "new" LR desktop due to too much work & not enough free time.

Have you? Maybe other Z8 shooters?

I was not aware that the Z8 had such a feature (read the manual!!)

I checked, and if it's true what is indicated, maybe in the higher ISO it's worth using the Native ISO of 4000

(as for example, in 3600, the noise is quite high, and I do need to denoise them in LR)

As for 400, no noise at all.....

Thanks, I was especially interested in the ability to shoot with a bit faster shutter speed (if need be). I agree there seems no discernable noise at ISO 400 - was wondering if this feature really is useful for others who have used it - I expect in low light sometimes a bit faster shutter would be useful.
