Need Lightroom 6.14 download for my Fuji X-T2

I have a new computer and managed to install Lightroom 6.0 from my original CD disk purchased about 7 years ago. However the 6.0 version does not support Fuji RAF files and I need the 6.14 upgrade.

I am not a professional photographer and cannot justify paying a monthly subscription for the new on-line Lightroom product. Especially since I sometimes go for for several months without picking up my camera and then could take several more months to get to actually processing them.

I was perfectly happy with my aging Fuji X-T2 and the old version of Lightroom.

I know Adobe no longer supports the old standalone version of Lightroom, however I think it ABSOLUTELY SUCKS that they removed the download from their website. Many other software companies discontinue older products but leave them for download on their website.

For this reason alone I will probably NEVER purchase another Adobe product.

I was wandering if anybody knows of a 3rd party Lightroom 6.14 download site. Otherwise I will need to start converting Fuji raw files into PGN before importing then=m into Lightroom 6.0, or start shooting in JPEG. I would rather avoid both these options.

If anybody knows of a way to upgrade my Lightroom from 6.0 to 6.14, I would greatly appreciate the information.

After you download the install files, you probably should archive it for possible future needs. I keep all my current downloads.

It's crazy that Adobe does this, but it's been their MO for a very long time.

The original Adobe download link for LR 6.14 is still available through the web archive. I checked and was able to download but didn't try to activate. You can find this through google:

https://web.archive.org/web/2022071...63AE8E620E/1552643270580/Lightroom_6_LS11.exe
Thank you, but it appears that this link downloads the original LR6.0, which I already have. I need the upgrade to LR6.14.

I will if I find the LR 6.14 upgrade download.

I already have the 6.0 version.

Did you try it?

Check this thread for more info:

I did download and "unzip" it. The files were dated 2015, which was the year of LR6.0 release. The 6.14 update was released in 2017 I believe.

I didn't want to try installing it as I already have the 6.0 version and took quite an effort to get it running. I didn't want to risk messing it up unless I am sure it's the 6.14 upgrade.

I will look at the thread you provided and see if there is some information there.

Thank you again

I tested the file. The assets for LR 6.14, dated 2-22-2019 are included in the installer. You can check it yourself if you unpack the files to a directory and pause the install.

The LR 6.14 patch is found in this path: "\Photoshop Lightroom 6.0\payloads\AdobeLightroom6-mul-210219233543"

I'm not sure if you can install over your existing LR 6 install. I would probably uninstall LR 6 and do a fresh install from this installer and reactivate.

The download from the Internet Archive is most definitely 6.14. Please try it.

To install it, you have to use the off-line activation procedure https://community.adobe.com/t5/down.../lightroom-6-on-a-new-pc/m-p/14638713#M580921

I think three people have now told you that the download from the Internet Archive is definitely Lr 6.14 and definitely NOT Lr 6.0.

The LS11 version is indeed the 6.14 version. I have a copy if you can't get yours to work. PM me.

You were right... It installed it and it is indeed the 6.14 version.

I can't tell you how grateful I am.

Thank you so very much.

PS. It installed overtop the 6.0 without deleting it or having to register at the Adobe website again. Just had to provide my serial number for the original 6.0.

Actually, according to Adobe's relevant page, what you need is Lightroom 6.6. Obviously 6.14 (or 6.7 or any of the intermediate versions) will work too. That may not make a practical difference, but obviously knowing precisely what you need might possibly open some workable avenue for you.

That would very likely be illegal, and therefore would be likely to get shut down quickly and/or would be very risky (for malware etc.).

That's true, and your frustration is understandable. But it's also not really a rare situation. I save, in an organized and archived way, the installer files for any software I might possibly need or want to reinstall. When I got a new computer in April 2023, I had the full LR 6.14 installer file in a convenient place, and installed and activated it without trouble. I think the file you could download from Adobe was named "Lightroom_6_LS11" and it's about 1.1 GB. Under all the circumstances, I'm not going to provide it to a stranger on the Internet, but there are reliable people who are less cautious than I am. Also, if you contact Adobe and explain the situation, I would not be surprised if they somehow provide it to you. Good luck.

Awesome! Glad you got it working.

I knew there would be a solution since I had similar problems a number of years ago where, after a hard drive crash, I needed to reinstall PS CS 5.5. The problem was that activation required downloading and installing all previous versions in my PS upgrade path going back to PS 7 and Adobe no longer made those available. I ended up getting archived versions from enthusiast sites, but essentially this is just a sleazy marketing tactic from Adobe to push users to the latest release/subscription.

Since you need a valid serial number to activate 6.1 and LS11 is available all over the internet, I didn't even suspect that the OP might be trying to hack it when I offered to share the file. I guess I forgot that one of the reasons Adobe went subscription was that it was being hacked all the time.

I think most people are good, and suspect most people planning to steal software would look somewhere besides DPReview. Besides, wouldn't they be looking for one of the already hacked versions?

According to my quick Google search, other people who tried to get this download from Adobe were refused even though they were registered users.

Do Adobe's activation servers still support that old a version of Lightroom?

If not, the OP may need a hacked version that doesn't require activation.

In going with that, the OP may as well acquire a more recent (pre-CC) version. In Adobe's eyes, I presume that it wouldn't be more illicit.

The offline activation procedure works fine, dont need a hacked version at all, no need for activation server. https://community.adobe.com/t5/down.../lightroom-6-on-a-new-pc/m-p/14638713#M580921

"disconnect the installed computer from the internet

Launch the product.

At the Serial Number Validation screen, click Having Trouble Connecting To The Internet.

Click Offline Activation and click Generate a Response Code.

Write down the Request Code.

Switch to an online computer and navigate to www.adobe.com/go/getactivated.

Click Offline Activation.

Sign in with your Adobe ID.

Enter your Request code and click Generate.

Write down the Response code.

Switch back to the offline computer.

Enter the Response Code and click Activate."

Is this really a workaround for activation?

It allows offline activation, but still requires Adobe to generate a Response Code online (from a different connection). Will Adobe still generate such a code for program that is no longer supported for activation in the normal online manner?

(I can't say that it won't work. If it does, it's a work-around that I'm surprised Adobe hasn't eliminated.)

you can find people saying in the Adobe forums that it works. So Adobe knows about this for probably 6 months now, and it still works.
