Nikon Rumors is showing updated pictures purported to be liked Z6iii photos.
I did not see the Fn1 or Fn2 buttons that the Z6& Z6ii had.

Not much to see really, the FN buttons are there though:

My bad. The lens release was so visible. I thought the protrusion at almost 9 o’clock was something else minor. I feel much better now. Thanks.
That's a very big diameter lens they've got mounted on it that hides the buttons.

Only thing to add is that it looks like a more less or modern camera.

That is what threw me in the first place. I have the Z7 with that lens.

The second image shows that Z6 III has a shutter. That means it is not going to have a stacked sensor like Z8 or Z9; therefore we shouldn't expect any real improvement in hardware capabilities compared to the Zf.

How many Canons and Sonys have better AF than the Zf without a stacked sensor?

Not sure if I'd make that leap. The Zf's sensor is 6 years old IIRC.

The rumor mill keeps saying its a new 24mpx sensor. I'm betting it's got a decently fast read out speed that more closely matches the Expeed 7

Yeah well the A1 and R3 are both stacked sensor cameras with shutters, so not quite. The R6 II has a faster sensor yet still has a shutter, so once again... it having a shutter does not tell us anything other than it will have a mech shutter.

:-D:-O;-)

At this point, I don't care anymore. In 3 days we'll know what the real-deal looks like (but that picture is probably mostly accurate as I think I heard a long while back that they were going to try to make the Z6 -- and z7 I guess - similar in overall form but just smaller and lighter). Picture is photoshopped obviously as the mode dial is way too close to the EVF IMO.

I Gotta have one

What are you talking about? That's the best camera ever. You can always take it with you, and nobody will think you're a photographer.

That is an erroneous conclusion. Several cameras have stacked sensors AND have mechanical shutters.

I don't believe it will be a stacked sensor. But you can't reach that conclusion from the fact that it has a mechanical shutter.
