Welcome to the Weekly Image Thread!

This thread will appear every Saturday (GMT). If the thread is nearing full before the next Saturday, I may start a new thread and carry on until it fills or the next Saturday arrives and it is reasonably full in which case I will start another. Confused, so am I! From time to time the start could be delayed if I am unavailable.

Although this Weekly thread is in the Olympus SLR forum, we openly welcome users of all brands and models.

Please:

1. Reply to this post and change the TITLE!
2. Please reply to at least one other contribution, your replies encourage posters!!!
3. If asked, please share your processing techniques or technical details.
4. Please show the EXIF if possible. Please identify the lens used regardless of which camera was used to take the image. This helps people form opinions of the lens used with the body to possibly influence future acquisitions.
5. If special lighting was used to create your image stating what was done may help others.

Oooooh! One of those times when unreality is somehow more real than reality. I know the leaves should be green, and the water in reality isn't that blue, but, c'mon, isn't this a great image? IMHO it is . And a great title, too, especially for those old enough to get the reference (and, frankly, who here isn't?)

Stunning! And, at least on my 8" tablet, very abstract. The dark area at the bottom is nearly a solid swathe of black, and then the white streak in the ombre blue sky . . . Wow!

Roses, all from the same garden.

Making pictures in the rain when I realized the extension tubes are not weather sealed. I got out of the rain and checked and no water got inside. I felt like a dunce... a lucky one.

Only one bush there makes these green ones. As they open they change to more white and yellow and less green and get red rings, and some years red edges.

I like the first best, Joe. Used to be a round trip flight from L.A. to San Francisco for $29.95 back in the 60s. Alcatraz always gives me the creeps. I can't understand people paying to take a tour of that awful place. Rich

It was far too windy here today to shoot flowers outdoors, so I cut grass. I avoided the forget me nots though.
