Can anyone tell me how easy it is to transfer images from the 6700 to your smartphone and use the phone for remote control? With my A6400 it is such pain that I never use it.

You will want the Creators App for that (Android version, iPhone version), works like charm as a remote and is moderately fast in its response time but the picture transfer speed will depend as much on the speed of your phone or its WiFi/Bluetooth connection as it does on the camera. Once set up it is very easy to use while setting it up requires some work, though I'm sure there are enough (diy) video's and/or blogposts to be found via Google .

Transferring images to smartphone (in my case an iPhone) is significantly easier than with the 6400, which was basically impossible. Still a little clunky but very usable. I haven't tried to use it as a remote. I should look into that.

I had a 6300 and had no problem with uploading with Imaging Edge. However, I must say how easy it now is with the 6700. I particularly like the iPhone remote operation.--

I have A6100 and I use a cable connection between camera and android phone when I know that I'll need to share pictures right away. The app Monitor+, pro version for $18, allows nice remote control, larger screen and the pictures get saved on the camera and the phone at the same time. The larger phone screen is also good for when I try manual focus.
