There's an airshow in Grand Hunction CO next month I'm considering attending. I'd love any tips or tricks for getting good pics. Last one I attended and took pics of was with my 20D and 70-200 2.8 waaaaay back in the day.

Monopod? Tripod? Gimbal or ball head? CP filter or anything?

Thanks!

A much longer lens like 100-400. +1 exposure compensation. the newer mirrorless cameras AF better.

I just hand hold and shoot since it is all upwards

1/125s for props, 1/2000s for fast jets. +1 EC to lighten bottom of planes. 400mm isn't always enough. Handhold but need good panning techniques especially for props. I try to keep a specific focus square on the cockpit as I pan to minimize motion blur. If your lens has a pan setting on the IS that will help. I've never used a CP on an airshow. I've only seen one person use a gimble at an airshow but he was shooting with a big white 600mm.
