Hi

What is the best SD memory card you can use for a Leica Q?

I would like to use a faster write and read US II SD card, but I've seen some comments that given the Q's speed, age, it should only use a US I card. Any comments? Can the Q take a faster card? What are photographers using?

You can put a UHS-II card in the camera and it will run fine, but you’ll be wasting money. The slot on the Q is UHS-1. It doesn’t even have the contacts to engage a UHS-II card. Save your money.

You can put a UHS-II card in the camera and it will run fine, but you’ll be wasting money. The slot on the Q is UHS-1. It doesn’t even have the contacts to engage a UHS-II card. Save your money.

Thank you very much for this information and the link to the technical data for the Leica Q.

Given how much money I've spent in the past several days for the Leica Q and a few accessories, its nice to know I can save some with regards to the UHS 1 type SD memory cards I'll need.

I've purchased a couple of the SanDisk Extreme Pro 64 GB UHS 1 memory cards this afternoon.

Looking forward to reading the camera manual and getting out with the camera.

Only if he has the correct card reader..I think the OP was more interested in the speed of the camera to record images (buffer speed).. L
