Hi folks!

I've been on hold with CPS for 30min+. I have the gold membership and this is exactly the reason I signed up for the service. For quick access to tech support and get out a repair sooner. The backup I have failed (my friend has mine on loan) and I'd like to send it out for repair and possibly get a cheepy loaner. I can rent locally if I get into a real bind but why pay for a service if it doesn't deliver.

Has anyone been able to get in touch with their techs via phone anytime over the past couple of months or has it all been email?

Update: It took a 45min hold but I got someone on the line. No loaners till they get the one I ship in for repair, and only then if they cant fulfill on the turnaround time.

I tried to buy a Platinum membership from them yesterday but their website is broken. I tried again today, still broken. I reported that to a tech who is working on a camera problem for me and he told me to call them. I called this morning and a recording told me there was a 28 to 31 minute wait.

Everyone raves about Canon customer service, but the two or three times I've needed them it's been a total failure.

I think it may have to do with the pandemic. Canon's website says that they have cut back on service locations and access. Canon CPS was always very responsive before the pandemic came along.

Yes. I believe only a few locations are fully staffed due to current local restrictions in each state.
