Might be a silly question, but I've been experimenting with low shutter in video using my Nikon D810. I rarely do video thing, so I don't know much about this camera capability. Is it possible to set the camera to longer shutter speed?? My camera seems to stuck at 1/30. I want it to be 1/20 or even longer. Is this camera capable of doing so? Thank you in advance.

Solution
AFAIK it is a general rules for video shooting that the shutter speed should not slower than the fps.

E.g., if you shoot time lapse, under a setting of 1sec interval per shot, we can't set shutter speed at 2" r slower...

You mean 1/20" or slower, says 1/10" on a 24/25/30/fps video shooting?

Not on my Panasonics yet. Not own the flagship GHs but guess they should not allow it.

Oh Lol Silly me! Hahaha.. Ok thanks guys for the explanation! I didn't really put much thought it connected to the fps too! :-) Thank you once again for all the helpful answers! :-D

You can't have a shutter speed slower than your frame rate because there wouldn't be time for the camera to record all the frames you need.

For instance, if you are using a 24 frames per second frame rate but your shutter is set at 1/20th of a second you can only shoot 20 frames in one second.

Your camera isn't going to have time to shoot those last four frames within the one second.

I'll agree overall with you though, I've shot video with a D810 and there are definitely some odd restrictions on shutter speed.

The camera will shoot gorgeous video however, so keep at it.
