I try to update all applications for more then 2 weeks now, it is impossible with Creative Cloud Application. And I am not alone with this problem. I have several friends at my photo club who have difficulty to update or like me impossible to update. Also seval person on Adobe Support Community.

I started to have problems with Adobe few months ago, I have problems every time I want to make updates of all applications even Creative Cloud Application. Adobe, are the only applications or software from any compagny that I have difficulty to upgarde, install....

Two weeks ago, I try to update Photoshop V21 it stops at 19%, Bridge at 67%, Lightroom at 43%.

I spend a total of 12 hours with the Adobe technician, and I personal spend a lot more to find an alternative way to make Creative Cloud work for the update, now I made a decision. I lost too much time and I will not do anything for a while. I will wait for the engineering department to find the definitive solution to this problem. They have my logs, they have to work on this problem and I will wait. I hope that it will not be too long and they will advise when it will be solved.

Now, I have all the recent version of Adobe software I need. Except that I can not update it.

I am very disappointed that this is a problem they have been experiencing for a few months and have not put more effort into solving it. My subscription end very soon. They told me this what cause problem: "Engineering is working constantly on this issue since it was reported. As I mentioned earlier, this is due to some left over files of 32 bit version of creative cloud application on the machine which are causing problem."

All software can run into these sorts of problems occasionally. Good suggestion from dl_Paige to run the special cleaner utility. Fingers crossed it gets sorted out.

Hard to respond intelligently without knowing the general health of your host system. I recently updated CC Photoshop and Illustrator without problem however I've been unable to update or run Premier Pro for months due to a required graphics card driver update that essentially hoses the rest of my system. In a pristine system things ought to be fine however as noted any number of things could be causing your problem. It's maddening when a company (like Adobe) that charges a premium price to rent their tools is unable to magically fix everything. How old is your hardware? Maybe it's time?

Hi,

My system have few years old, but I changed the graphics card and hard drive for a SSD about a year ago. I have no problem updating others software and downloading anything. The only that I have problems is from Adobe.
My problems started at the end of September, so I have a new version of the Creative Cloud application that did not want to update. An Adobe technician installed it directly on my PC. After that I had another update that I was finally able to install after few days and several attempts. And two weeks ago, with the update of Photoshop V21, Lightroom, Bridge and Camera Raw, I am unable to update these apps. But I'm not the only one with these problems. Some of my friends, had the same problems, but some of them have succeeded after a week or two and multitudes of tries. I have seen other people on other forums, also on Adobe Community with the same problem. In addition, Adobe says to know the cause of this problem.

This is what Adobe's technician wrote to me about the problem:

"Engineering is working constantly on this issue since it was reported. As I mentioned earlier, this is due to some left over files of 32 bit version of creative cloud application on the machine which are causing problem. "

Pardon me for asking, yvondaigle, but why are you here? You have dismissed every piece of advice given to you with statements about how Adobe has already tried this.

Hi Paige,

I have not dismissed advice, I tried those myself and Adobe tried also.

I am here to know if somebody have a solution or a way to correct the problem, other then wath I did. I describe my problem, and help somebody have the same problem, I tell people what I have done already to find a solution.

To be fair, sometimes a fix is easy but sometimes a fix is hard and it often depends on the specifics of an individual's hardware and software configuration. Adobe has an online help/discussion forum full of complaints and frustrated people with similar problems. Asking others in other forums is often helpful but unless you happen to find somebody with the EXACT problem and a very similar hw/sw configuration the odds aren't good. Sometimes a problem uncovers a "bug" that the developers knew nothing about. In this case it sounds like Adobe knows about the problem but haven't yet isolated a cause or fix. I would suggest getting something written from them that acknowledges the problem and that extends your license for however long you are unable to use their s/w due to their problem.

The computer world of hardware and software, like all human endeavors, can malfunction. Over the last 20 years I've experienced many problems like this that were unfixable in spite of googling, reading forums, and trying many different fixes. Including many posts saying "I've done the same thing, or have the same setup" and never had that problem. And like many, I obsessed about it and was unhappy because of it. The bottom line is sometimes things don't work perfectly and you can't fix it. Almost all of the problems I am referring to eventually went away, probably because of updated software that didn't create the glitch. My advice is try to stop thinking about it and wait. In time will most likely go away on its own.

I also had this problem , but manage to upgrade with the Creative Cloud App. Don't recall how I did it.

Can you try Edit > Customize . Does it show up there ?
